Support through life’s changes

Mental health care, built for the Asian community

Therapy that’s covered by insurance, HSA or FSA, with affordable self-pay options

Mental health care that’s made for what you’re carrying

Culturally-attuned therapy

Your culture and your values become the expectations you hold for yourself and that others have for you. When you’re already holding so much, therapy shouldn’t feel like you’re the one helping your therapist study.

Anise trains our clinicians to support the Asian community. They incorporate your background, culture, and experiences into addressing your needs and goals.

Fits your schedule

Between work, errands, school, and loved ones, it can be hard to find time to care for yourself. Our sessions are easy to join from wherever and whenever works for your busy routine.

Flexible payment options

Figuring out how to pay for support shouldn’t add more stress. We believe mental health care should be accessible, no matter your budget.

Anise Health lets you pay for therapy using your insurance, HSA, FSA, or with affordable self-pay options.

Secure and private

Feel safe and secure in your session. You’ll join your therapist on our HIPAA-compliant platform.

Culturally-attuned therapy is a judgement-free zone, where you can be comfortable as yourself, knowing that what you share stays private.

9 out of 10 clients feel heard and understood

“[My provider] understands about the Filipino culture in a way that other therapists I work with do not. He used humor and is approachable. This made it easier to share.”

— Anise client

“Anise has been so helpful for me, especially in this season of life transitions… Since I’ve started with Anise, my therapist and coach have helped me address my issues and work on my goals so that I can have a more fulfilling life amidst the challenges that lay ahead.”

— Anise client

“I felt comfortable with my therapist fairly quickly. Although she's Asian, she's not the same ethnicity as myself, so there was some shared understanding, but not too many assumptions, which made me feel like I could more fully express myself, but didn't have to completely explain myself.

How we support you

Our therapists and coaches are clinicians who specialize in supporting Asian Americans and Asian identifying people.

We know that your mental health is tied to your background—your culture, values, family, and more—so we’re all clinically trained to approach your care with your experiences in mind.

Some areas we specialize in:

  • Anxiety, stress, and always feeling overwhelmed

  • Academic stress and pressure

  • Life transitions and changes

  • Depression

  • Burnout

  • Relationship issues

  • Grief and loss

  • Exploring your identity

  • Balancing multiple responsibilities, like work, school, and family

  • Trauma, including generational trauma and complex trauma

  • Feeling stuck

  • Family dynamics and issues

  • And more

You don’t already have to know what you’re dealing with to start therapy. We’re here to figure it out with you.

There’s a gap in mental health care. Approaches don’t consider how culture is part of our unique experience. To solve it, we developed treatment models to account for your intersectional and individual identity. When care is culturally competent, people can be truly understood and finally heal.

That’s why we do what we do, and that’s why it works.
